These are the sessions we host through the year, mostly in Johannesburg and Durban, with a few coastal dates when the weather cooperates. Each one is hands-on: you bring your own kit, we work through it together, and you leave with a printed checklist that matches your region and your budget.

Weekend Kit Build

Two days, your own bag on the table. We weigh every item, cut the dead weight, and rebuild around Highveld cold nights or humid coastal days depending on where you actually travel.

Foam Blaster Tuning

Half-day session on spring wear, magazine feeding and hop-up adjustment. Bring your blaster and a spare mag; we test it on the range and log what fails before the next skirmish does.

LARP Prop Repair

Foam latex, straps and paint touch-ups. We show the patching methods that survive a full weekend event, plus storage habits that stop props cracking between seasons.

Outbreak Scenario Lab

Small group writing table. You bring a location, we map the outbreak logic, supply gaps and the decisions that make a scenario feel real instead of scripted.

Printable Checklist Clinic

We go through the free supply lists line by line and mark what applies to your household, vehicle and route. You leave with a trimmed version, not the generic one.

Fiction Serial Workshop

For readers who want to write. We work on episode pacing, cliffhangers and keeping a Johannesburg or Karoo setting consistent across a running serial.

Workshop questions, answered without the runaround

Whether you are booking a foam-blaster teardown session or joining a weekend scenario build, these are the questions we get most often from Gauteng and coastal crews.

What actually happens during a workshop session?

Sessions run in two blocks. The first covers gear handling: stripping a foam blaster, checking spring wear, and packing a bug-out bag for Highveld cold or coastal damp. The second block is scenario work, where small groups build and run a short outbreak scene with props, roles and a debrief.

Do I need my own gear to take part?

No. Loaner blasters, eye protection and basic LARP props are available for the day. If you bring your own kit, we will check it before the scenario block so nothing jams mid-run. Bring water, a hat and closed shoes either way.

How long is a typical session, and how many people join?

Most workshops run a full day, roughly from morning setup to late-afternoon debrief. Groups stay small, usually eight to twelve people, so there is time for hands-on checks and for everyone to hold a role in the scenario rather than watching from the side.

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Yes, and most first-timers start here. We open with a short safety and handling briefing, then pair newcomers with regulars during the scenario. If you have never packed a supply list or fired a foam blaster, you will still leave with something useful.

Can I book a private session for a club or group?

We do run closed sessions for airsoft teams, campus societies and friend groups. Tell us your numbers, the terrain you usually play on and whether you want the fiction-writing angle or the gear-prep angle, and we will shape the day around it.
